I’ve been struggling this week. On many levels we’re operating in mayhem - our lives are turned upside down. I have a child showing the symptoms of coronavirus and so we’re in lock-down. We can’t communicate with the outside world except through technology, or at a distance at the front door.
My phone is pinging every 20 seconds with another post into one of a myriad of WhatsApp groups. Some article with more depressing statistics about this illness, or the economic prospects for the economy, the country, the world, or occasionally some hilarious video or picture to lighten the mood momentarily.
Turn on the radio or TV and we are bombarded with news - new cases - death numbers - experts explaining where we are on the exponential curve.
I talk to friends who have severe health conditions which put them at risk, or elderly family members, or friends working on the front line in the NHS where the word Hero seems totally apt.
I’m in overwhelm and have spent far too many hours caught up in this maelstrom. Forget my burgeoning business - who knows if there’ll be a world out there in 3 months!
Time to stop the roundabout. Time to take back control. Time to be the person I want to be. Time to get back to sharing my knowledge with women who could use some help.
So watching a video from Joe Dispenza today these words really resonated ‘Where you place your attention is where you place your energy’.
I want my energy to be productive, to be useful, to be creative.
So I choose to place my energy in opportunity, in hope, in the future.
Come with me!
