Where is the women you used to be?

Where is the women you used to be?

Where’s the woman you were?  Where is that youthful person who bounded out of bed with energy - filled with enthusiasm to tackle the day?  Where is the busy executive, juggling a packed diary and meetings and loving the ride.  Where is the patient parent, able to nurture, coach and support her children?  Where is the sassy spouse/partner - enjoying time together.  Where is the fit, youthful person you once were?

Peri menopause can seem to strip us of our essence.   You don’t feel like you’re thinking clearly any more.  Stress bubbles to the surface and erupts - leaving you shaking and uncertain.  Your children are suddenly pressing all the buttons, and you’re unable to cope.  You’re exhausted from lack of sleep - sweats and chills stopping a restful night.  Hot flushes can erupt at any moment.    And don’t even thing about getting intimate!

You’re left wondering if this is what your life is going to be.

I used to be that woman.  It felt like my life had turned on a dime.  Struggling with brain fog, anxiety, low energy, always tired, always cross with my children.  Not knowing which way to turn.

I didn’t want to take SSRIs or HRT.  I just wanted the old me back.  Not the Mum who had to walk out of the house to stop her shouting at the kids.  I wanted to have energy for the day and a smile on my face.

I put together my own ‘programme’ - working on my nutrition, lifestyle, and slowly looking at other areas which need focus.

Any YES I found the old Caroline.  The mother, partner, exercise enthusiast, happy me.

Now more than ever - spending 24/7 with our families women need support.   We have added stresses - helping with home schooling. Juggling working from home with a full house and stretched broadband.  Your menopause challenges can feel even bigger than before.

That’s why I’m launching a 5 week programme ‘Thriving Through Menopause’ in June.  Mapping out a route to a new you. Showing how we can make different choices and expect different outcomes.  Love ourselves again.
